A local consulting firm has made its mark in the PPP sector in Bangladesh. e-Gen, formed by Syed Munir Khasru, a professor Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka, has been awarded international projects by World Bank and Asian Development Bank. It has developed public-private partnership module for Indian infrastructure. e.Gen has competed against some of the most well known consulting firms from all over the world and has been awarded projects from multidisciplinary fields such as power and energy, infrastructure, renewable energy and hydro power, value chain development, public-private partnership (PPP), Islamic finance for small and medium enterprises, and country economic diagnosis for Mongolia.
