Enactment of PPP Law in Punjab

Punjab Government promulgated the PPP for Infrastructure Ordinance in 2009, which expired after three months. The Government is currently reviewing the draft PPP law, after which it is likely to be enacted. The draft law lays out the process for undertaking both solicited and unsolicited projects. Once enacted, the law would give cover to a range of PPP projects currently being planned by various Punjab government departments and agencies.
